Port Blair, Dec. 13: The 90th birthday celebration of the Founder and Senior Leader of DMK Party in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. R. Mardhuvaanan was held grandly on Monday at the DMK Office, Port Blair.

ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker participated in this birthday celebration and honored Shri. Mardhuvaanan with a shawl and bouquet. They wished him a happy birthday. 

Diglipur, Dec. 13: Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committtee and Vice President, CITU State Committee during his 3-day visit to Diglipur from 10th December to 12th December 2023 addressed a number of meetings, attended by hundreds of workers of Diglipur area.  During the visit, he met some PRI members and prominent persons in the area and discussed with them various issues pertaining to the Diglipur Tehsil.    

Diglipur, Dec. 13: The 53rd Annual Athletic Meet of PM SHRI GSSS Subhash Gram, Diglipur was held at Vivekananda Stadium today. The Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony Shri. Siva Shakthi B, IFS, DFO, Diglipur declared the meet open by hoisting the flag while Shri S. Suresh Kumar DEO, Diglipur graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Various events along with cultural programmes and march past were held and prizes were distributed by the dignitaries.

Port Blair, Dec. 13: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP and Former State President BJP-ANI has addressed a letter to the Chief Secretary A & N Administration, highlighting a matter of significant importance concerning devotees participating in the annual Ayyappa Swami Puja at Sabarimala, Kerala.

The festival, which began on 17th November 2023, is scheduled to conclude on 14th January 2024. As the festival is nearing, the need for affordable and accessible transportation for devotees from Port Blair to Chennai becomes crucial.

Mumbai, Dec. 13: Team Andaman & Nicobar has taken part in the recently concluded MIXED martial arts national held by ProMMA league in Mumbai from 7 to 10 December. A total of 25 states has taken part in this event. Andaman & Nicobar had 4 athletes representing it. Out of the four Master Jaishish has secured 2nd place in under 10 44 kgs division, Master V Varun Rajan could secure a place only in semi-final, Mr Mohammed Arshad and Mr M veera Pandi could only reach semi-finals. Out of four participants three train under Mr N jagadeka Varma at Champions Zone Muaythai and MMA club.
